Analyzing quantitative data revealed that a higher percentage of students required 3+ attempts in a newer version of the course versus a previous version of the course. I combined this with qualitative data gathered during calls with students on 3+ attempts to determine a need for practiced test-taking skills specific to the style of the exam delivered.
Adults need to know why something is important to learn, so I incorporated the compelling reason why test-taking strategies impact success to introduce the learning video.
The original instructional video included multiple-choice questions to apply the techniques discussed and provide real-time objective feedback. Closed captions were available for accessibility.
