Males and females ages 18-22 in the United States suffer from a mental illness almost twice as much as the general population, therefore, the scope of this campaign was focused on reaching students on college campuses.
The imagery used is a crossword puzzle partially filled in with answers relating to mental illness. Black anchors the design while creating a neutral space. Light blue text represents calmness and peace; in contrast to the words written in the blue hue. Typography was hand-written, scanned, and digitally manipulated.
Methods of final production include a poster, t-shirts and student planner to be distributed on college campuses.
Though it is a delicate subject, the neutral design of the crossword with a single web address on the back creates a design that college students would be willing to wear on a t-shirt or carry on a planner.
